I create intaglio prints as framed prints and also as greetings cards. The printmaking process involves engraving a flat sheet of copper with a hand held graver, creating design such as botanical studies. I then fill the engraved recesses with ink before running the sheet of copper through a hand wound printing press which forces the ink design into specially prepared damp printing paper, once the print is dry, I frame it.
All of my framed prints are signed originals from limited edition runs usually between 25 -100 prints before the run closes and no more prints are ever taken from that plate again.
Greetings cards are digitally reproduced using my original prints which I print on premium cardstock using laser printing and are supplied with envelopes.
