Jenny Gartside BSc, SBA Fellow.

Hi, I’m a jeweller from Buxton in the Peak District, Derbyshire.

I studied jewellery and silversmithing at college in Sheffield over 18 years ago and now run my own jewellery business where I design and make everything from my own workshop.

I work mainly in silver and natural gemstones, and I specialise in traditional hand engraving.

My inspiration comes from the natural world as UK flora and fauna fascinate me, and in 2022 I became a Fellow Member of the Society of Botanical Artists.

This week I have mostly been making: Bluebell earrings! Gingko Biloba leaf pendant, hand made from sterling silver using chasing and repousse. Another unique pair of earrings posted to their forever home yesterday! The raw gemstone silver stud collection so far. Peridot stud earrings, made with sterling silver and rough peridot gemstones, - ‘rough’ meaning they have not been shaped or refined in any way, other than simply being tumbled with other stones to give a velvety matte finish. Some raw tanzanite and silver studs I completed last week. My darling little snowdrop pendant, carefully crafted from a sheet of sterling silver and silver wire.
